The System Administrator should have experience with VMware & Windows. This position STARTS July 30.

 

This position is for the BWC Core Direction project. BWC is currently operating in an environment with limited to moderate automated functionality and data access.  Many business processes have manual or system (e.g., Excel, Access, etc.) workarounds.  Multiple applications are used to support single processes.  Lack of data, when and where needed, lack of integration between existing legacy applications and implementation of business process change regardless of application support drive many of the workarounds.  A portion of correspondence is manually generated and custom letter databases exist throughout BWC.  Multiple processes utilize the same workarounds.  Claims processes are the most mature, followed by billing processes with policy processes being the least mature.

 

The BWC Core System initiative, will replace several legacy systems with a claims, policy and billing COTS software solution known as Powersuite.  These legacy systems include:

1. Claims processing – Version 3

2.Claims processing – Imaging

3.Policy Management and Billing – WCIS

The AOC Technical Architect is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, user administration, and installation to support the AOC court software.

 

Candidates submitted for the previous position should not be submitted against this requirement.

 

This is NOT a Programmer or DBA position.  However, the work will brush up against both.

 

The AOC Technical Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and configuring systems including some programming, testing, debugging support of the AOC court software. The TA consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify objectives. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

 

Please review all skills.

Experience in exporting /importing data to DB Tables is essential.

This is a technical position with strong business analyst skills necessary.

 

Minimum Qualifications

A formal education of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent and three years experience in a technical role is required.  Knowledge of Arkansas court systems and understanding of the use of technology in court applications is desired. The applicant must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to multitask, work independently, and have respect for deadlines.

 

Must have excellent SQL skills and experience with an RDBMS.  Experience with Oracle is desired.

• Knowledge of installation, upgrade, and maintenance of computer hardware, operating systems, and application software.

• Knowledge of installation, configuration and upgrade of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, WordPerfect, and other application software.

Working Relationships

The AOC Technical Analyst has regular contact with elected court officials and court staff, department staff, and other state agency/institutions personnel. This position works closely with other AOC technical and non-technical staff, and reports to the Technical Support Manager of the CIS Division.

The PM will represent ODE at one or more selected agency in support of the Race to the Top Early Learning Challenge Grant. The PM will help coordinate the work between the agencies and provide analysis support as necessary for projects managed there.

 

Partner Agency Support Project Manager 2 - THERE ARE TWO OPENINGS

 

The Program Manager will assist the ODE RttT-ELC Project Manager as needed and will represent ODE at the selected agency (either Dept of Job and Family Services or Depts of Health, Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities) in the cross-agency initiatives related to the RttT Early Learning Challenge Grant. The Project Manager will work at both ODE and the selected agency(ies) and will be provided work space at both locations. The Program Manager will monitor the progress of the projects for which the assigned agency has responsibility and act as the point of contact for the partner agency when working with ODE. 

 

The Program Manager will report to the ODE RttT-ELC Project Manager and will follow all ODE PMO guidelines and policies. The Program Manager’s primary responsibility is to help drive the entire effort from start to finish, working closely with the partner agency's project manager. The Program Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements of ODE.
