The Programmer is responsible for requirements definitions, analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team.

F2F Interviews will be held the week of 10/29, most likely Monday & Wednesday.

Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. The Programmer works with the Functional Architect and Technical Architecture Specialist on an as needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements.

Years of Relevant Experience: 3 to 6 years

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.

Role Description:

All roles specified in PR3 plus the following:

•Converts scientific, engineering, and other technical problem formulations to formats that can be processed by computer.

•Resolves symbolic formulations, prepares flowcharts and block diagrams, and encodes resultant equations for processing by applying extensive knowledge of branch of science, engineering, or advanced mathematics, such as differential equations or numerical analysis, and understanding of capabilities and limitations of computer.

•This is a professional level non-supervisory position which may require coordination of programming activities being conducted by the team

•Confers with other business and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing.

•Works with necessary personnel to determine if modifications are necessary with interested personnel to determine necessity for modifications or enhancements.

Project Summary

The CMV Crash Reporting System (CCRS) will import data from various external sources including approximately 5,000 Ohio crash records per week.  Using predefined criteria, the CCRS will validate these crash records and produce an XML file containing approximately 100 records involving commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crashes.  The XML file will be used to manually upload the data to a federal database.  In addition, CCRS will allow internal users to edit, manage and report on all crash records contained in the database using a web application.

This is primarily a SQL developer position with web development as a secondary.

PUCO is in need of an experienced developer to develop a database and web application for a small group of internal users.  Current database design and development using MS SQL server including SSIS required.  Heavy emphasis on using MS .NET framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code.  This is primarily a SQL developer position with web development as a secondary.

Requirements

4 year college degree or equivalent technical study with advanced study preferred.

8-9 year proven track record of hands-on software development experience.

The Client utilizes .NET software to support Web Based Application initiatives within the agency. This current initiative involves re-engineering, re-writing and implementing the replacement of a legacy Delphi 8 application in C#.NET for the Office of Fiscal Services.

C#.NET Developer with experience developing and implementing web based solutions on a Microsoft platform, using Oracle or SQL Server relational database.  The .NET Developer will provide analysis, programming and documentation services to the Web and Business Solutions section of the Office of Information Services.  Specific duties of these IT professionals include, but are not limited, to:

·         Work directly with a team of State business and development staff; utilizing .NET software connected to a relational data base.

·         Translate business requirements into a sound and thoroughly documented system design.

To assist the Department of Veterans Services VWWP  with development, design, integration, management, and support of their website system.  This position will serve to facilitate communication and coordination of website support services for the VWWP .  Will independently provide administration and technical support for these systems.  Will work with VWWP  team to capture technical and non-technical requirements to facilitate creating a set of comprehensive and effective plans and actions for developing and maintaining a high quality website.

Website KSAs:
•           Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, for the VWWP web site
•           Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary
•           Create visual concepts that match the content and the image wanted by the Wounded Warrior program and ensure the site is easy to navigate
•           Build the website using technologies that conform to Commonwealth of Virginia and Department of Veterans Services standards and make sure that they are universally accessible
•           Perform maintenance and updates to website when requested by VWWP
•           Create and provide support documentation and training on maintenance and update procedures
