Responsibilities:

As a member of a cross-functional development team, Software Engineers work closely with Database, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Project Management and other software teams to implement technology solutions for new and existing products and services. Software Engineers participate in all phases of product development including: planning, analysis, design, development, testing and ongoing support.

•             Implement new features, components, and services from specs employing Java-based technologies with little direct supervision.

•             Participate in requirements analysis and development planning activities.

•             Assist in resolving testing and production issues when they arise.

•             Produce detailed and accurate documentation relating to assigned tasks when necessary.

•             Promote highly-collaborative, team-oriented environment, working closely with all levels of product development staff and third-party development teams.

 

Qualifications:

•             8+ years experience programming Core Java, JSP and J2EE technologies.

•             Extensive (2+ years) experience using Spring and Spring MVC.

•             3+ years of leading teams of engineers through the entire SDLC

•             Proposes design approaches for review and agreement from peers and supervisor

•             Has delivered one or more products/projects to production/market

•             Has owned a major functional area of the code where they do/lead most of the development

•             Very competent in nearly all code-centered, detailed-design centered, and task-centered areas

•             Drives Software Compliance adherence on all engagements.

•             BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent), with strong competencies in object-oriented development, data structures, algorithms and software design and architecture.

•             Coding experience using Web-presentation technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript), SQL scripting, and Unix scripting. 

•             Well versed with industry best practices and design and development standards

•             Solid grasp of software development lifecycle best-practices, methods, and conventions, including but not limited to Agile/Scrum, Test Driven Development, Source Code Management, Continuous Integration, Domain Driven Design, and Dependency Management. 

 

•             Possess excellent teamwork skills.  Proven, dependable team leader.

•             Strong oral and written communication skills.

•             Works independently as necessary 

Preferred

•             Experience in e-commerce application development.

•             Experience working with or developing Open Source projects.

•             Experience refactoring existing systems to design patterns.

•             Experience with Oracle 10g or higher, Web Logic 10 or higher.

•             Experience with MuleESB.

I’m looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience with .NET technology (MVC).  We are doing client side rendering and a lot of our business logic falls within the JavaScript layer, so expertise with JavaScript would be required.  We use Backbone, Underscore, and JQuery so any experience with this would be a plus. 

We are a .NET team focusing on building cutting edge and state of the art products that are not only robust but are also reliable. We are using Fluent NHibernate, ASP.NET MVC 3.0,

.NET 4.0, Microsoft Unity, MSTests, Moq, Backbone js, QUnit, Require JS and many more.

 

We use the latest from Microsoft with ASP MVC and their Razor view engin while practicing the SCRUM development methodology with 2 week springs and integrated Dev/QA teams.
