The Programmer is responsible for developing the service interface between Ohio's Immunization Registry and various Electronic Medical Record (EMR) vendor software solutions and Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).
IMPORTANT CHANGES:
***** The successful resource is required to have Ado.net Entity framework , at least 2 years
***** The successful resource is required to have 3-5 years' experience designing and developing business to business (B2B) messaging systems to route EDI (or) HL7 messages between multiple stakeholders using web based standards (WCF, REST, etc)
The Client is undertaking an application development project to build a single portal through which all electronic health information coming in and out of ODH will be exchanged. This will include the enhancement of the Dashboard which reports status of incoming and outgoing messages, new infrastructure to support messaging with Ohio's Health Information Exchanges (HIEs)s, new service interfaces to facilitate bi-direction exchange between ODH and various Electronic Medical Record(EMR) software packages and a data quality improvement imitative to address known data quality issues.
This position will primarily focus on developing service interfaces to be used by EMR vendors to interact with IMPACT SIIS. Bi-direction data exchange will be achieved through SOAP services as prescribed by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
