Job Title : Database Administrator
Location : Trenton, NJ
Duration : 1 Year
This position is for a Database Administrator with 5 years of experience.
Provide standard, well-structures work planning which defines scope, resources, commitments, quality, risks, and acceptance criteria.
Ensure that overall application designs remain within project scope.
Work with customer business units to understand their business processes.
Work with developers to identify direction of software.
Ensure business requirements are supported by the design.
Analyze, define, and document how the applications will support functional and business requirements.
Coordinate these efforts with project managers, developers and junior functional architects .
Understand supporting/interfacing system applications.
Approve the determined need for new software/hardware.
Communicate and resolve application interface issues with other Lead Developers and junior functional architects as needed.
Monitor and measure maintenance and development process effectiveness.
Communicate clearly the program/application goals, operational and organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the junior functional architects
Communicate to junior functional architects their relationships between their work and assignments and the organizational and/or program objectives.
Skill Required
Strong Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Required 5 Years
Oracle and Procedural Language Required 5 Years
MS SQL and Procedural Language Required 5 Years
Data Modeling Tools Required 2 Years
ERWIN data modeling tool Highly desired 2 Years
4 year college degree or equivalent Required
Prior work experience with DHS Nice to have
Knowledge of State and DHS policy Nice to have
Good communication skills Required
