JOB DESCRIPTION:
·
Microstrategy schema definition, design, implementation and
maintenance.
·
Microstrategy Administration.
·
Design, develop, and deploy user content (reports, dashboards,
subscriptions) via Microstrategy Web and Microstrategy Desktop.
·
Tune Microstrategy reports for best SQL performance to run
efficiently.
·
Review and make enhancements to logical and physical database
designs as well as optimization for proper use with the BI platform.
·
Create test plans and scenarios for development unit testing.
·
Work with peers to carry out unit testing of new development.
·
Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
·
Participate in data builds and deployment efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
·
5 Years of experience in designing Microstrategy Business
Intelligence Reporting systems.
·
5 years of experience in Microstrategy schema definition,
design, implementation and maintenance.
·
Strong Microstrategy Administration skills.
·
Thorough knowledge of the report development life cycle.
·
Strong native SQL skills.
·
Must have a clear understanding of BI, Data Warehouse operating
environments and related technologies.
·
Ability to coach and mentor others on the design, development,
and usage of the Microstrategy product suite.
·
Strong experience in data warehousing concepts and techniques
(e.g. Kimball etc.).
·
Ability to complete the full lifecycle of software development
and deliver on time.
·
Ability to work w/end users to gather requirements and convert
that to working documents.
