Location: Jersey City, NJ
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and document processes for best practices and standards in the program and project management space; create templates relating to these standards and best practices.
Work with project and delivery teams to implement process improvements and best practices
Perform tollgate reviews (formal checkpoints between specific project phases) and other program and project reviews to ensure adherence to governance standards.
Provide weekly program portfolio reporting for the department.
Collect and report metrics.
Financials.
Track projects
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Must have:
Minimum: Bachelor level college education.
5-7 years of experience in PMO function or as hands-on IT project manager.
Familiar with project management methodologies, including SDLC and Agile.
Expert in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, charts), PowerPoint, MS Project
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and getting things done
Preferred
Experienced working in the financial services industry.
Knowledge with MS Access.
Familiar with SharePoint
