A project manager to implement a resource allocation strategy using Microsoft Project Server and other other Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solutions as recommended and agreed upon by DIS.
The Department of Information Systems (DIS) is establishing a resource allocation initiative using Project Server 2010 and is currently seeking a highly skilled professional to assist the agency with the completion of this effort. The chosen candidate will be able to demonstrate experience implementing a resource allocation strategy using Microsoft Project Server and other Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solutions within large organizations.
Contractor Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Lead planning session with DIS stakeholders to validate resource allocation strategy and toolsets needed
-Make recommendations to DIS based on experience implementing resource allocation methods, processes, procedures at other large organizations
-Work with DIS to validate a project plan to implement resource allocation initiative using project management methodologies
-Identify Project Management Process Requirements
-Work with DIS Staff to identify project management process flow
-Configure EPM environment to support DIS project management process flow
-Work with DIS to implement project processes and workflows
-Establish workflows within EPM tool (and/or other planning session designated tool)
-Configure Primary resource roles
-Assist Resource Managers with Configuring resource management processes
-Providing Knowledge Transfer to DIS Project Server Application Administrator
-Providing Knowledge Transfer to DIS Project Server System Administrator
-Providing training to DIS Project Managers and Resource Managers
Contractor Required Experience
• Strong experience in implementing resource capacity and utilization processes in an large organization.
• Experience with IT organizations
• Strong Senior Project Management Experience
• Prior Implementation experience on Microsoft Project Server (EPM, PWA and Project Server 2010)
• Enterprise Portfolio Management implementation experience.
• High level understanding of SharePoint 2007/2010 architecture.
• Experience in converting functional requirements to technical requirements
• Understanding of Basic Microsoft product architecture

Implementation Experience on MS Project Server 2010 Required 2 Years
Implementation Experience on MS Project Server 2007 Required 4 Years
Resource capacity and utilization process implementation Highly desired 4 Years
Senior Project Management Experience Highly desired 5 Years
