Job Title : SharePoint Administrator
Duration : 1 Year
Location :  Harrisburg, PA

This resource will be managed by the Bureau of Information Technology and will be assigned to primary implementation, construction and support support for Sharepoint implementations within the department. 

This resource will be managed by the Bureau of Information Technology and will be assigned to primary implementation, construction and support support for Sharepoint implementations within the department.    Specifically, this individual will have prime technical responsibility for deploying, configuring, and managing the SharePoint 2010 environment to be used for content management, search, collaboration, and document management. The SharePoint Administrator will fully document the environment and provide training/knowledge transfer to other members of the BIT team.
Examples of Work:
.       Serves as administrator, lead technical consultant and resident expert in the design and monitoring of Microsoft SharePoint and database systems.
.       Will establish a document management standard and develop a technical solution that will integrate multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications in the department.
.       Serves as an integration architect in designing the technical strategy, direction  and approach, network architecture, data and database architecture, application architecture, performance tuning, performance and capacity analysis, technical standards, technical reliability, and flexibility for the Microsoft SharePoint solution.
.       Will investigates, analyzes, and resolves critical IT problems which require deviation from traditional methods and procedures.
Specific Duties:
i.      Make recommendations to management team on system enhancements, upgrades and other life cycle changes required to meet the needs of a changing department and keep the environment up to date with industry standards and best practice.
ii.     Create and update system architecture, configuration, system management, and system upgrade documentation.
iii.    Manage, maintain and document SharePoint environment.
iv.     Assist with supporting third party business applications and support tools related to SharePoint.
